Soldano-Decatone

The three-channel, 100 watt DECATONE is our most versatile amplifier head.  The DECATONE was originally offered back in 1997 to celebrate the tenth anniversary of SOLDANO CUSTOM AMPLIFICATION, and it’s still a favorite among many to this day.  It features a high gain Overdrive channel, a meaty Crunch channel, and a punchy, tight Clean channel.  While it clearly borrows the strengths of its SOLDANO predecessors, the DECATONE has a distinct look and tone that are all its own.

Each channel has its own Preamp gain and Master Volume control, as well as a Bright switch.  An overall power amp Master Volume control enables the user to make quick volume adjustments for all channels simultaneously.  In addition to the Bass, Middle, Treble, and Presence controls, the Depth Control provides extended bass emphasis for all channels.  Either the included DECATROL foot controller or the illuminated push button selector switches on the amp provide instant, noise-free channel selection.  The tube buffered effects loop is a series / parallel design with an Effects Mix control knob.  This feature allows the user to adjust the blend of the amp’s “Dry” signal with the “Wet” signal of the device or devices plugged into the effects loop.  A rotary Impedance selector switch allows the use of 4, 8, or 16 ohm speaker cabinets.
